DIY Junk Journals
Saturday, April 19 2025, 2 p.m.

Location: Unalaska Public Library
Price: Free

Join us to participate in an upcycling craft in support of Zero Waste Week! Create your very own junk journal from recycled books, magazines, fabric, paper, and other materials.

The library will supply base supplies, but you are welcome to bring items from home, such as clippings, ticket stubs, pressed flowers, and other ephemera and mementos to add to your journal.

"What is a junk journal anyway?"
Junk journals are usually created by using recycled and found materials such as old books, magazines, or other ephemera, with the goal of creating a unique space for writing, drawing, or scrapbooking.

This program is for ages 8 & up. Children 7 & under may attend if they're accompanied by an adult.

Please call or visit the library to sign up! (907) 581-5060
