AMSEA is conducting a ten-hour Drill Conductor workshop in Unalaska-Dutch Harbor on March 18 & 19, 2016. This workshop meets the US Coast Guard training requirements for drill conductors on commercial for fishing vessels. Instructors, Melissa Good and Zac Schasteen, will cover these topics:

- Emergency drills
- Man overboard recovery
- Firefighting
- EPIRBs, flares, and MAYDAYs
- Abandon ship procedures
- Life rafts
- Helicopter rescue
- Immersion suits and PFDs
- Cold water survival skills
- In-the-water practice session

The workshop meets at the Unalaska Department of Public Safety, 29 Safety Way, Unalaska, AK 99685, from 8:00 AM to 1:100 PM, both days and is FREE to commercial fishermen, thanks to support from the U.S. Coast Guard, NIOSH, and DCCED.
