The State of Alaska will have a team of trainers in Unalaska from Sept 4-7 to conduct a series of meetings and trainings related to emergency preparedness and response. There will be an Incident Command System overview on Sept 6 at 8am.

The training will provide an overview of the ICS including how the federal government works with State, local and tribal governments as well as private sector organizations during disaster responses. This class would be suitable for anyone tasked with their organization's emergency response planning.

We encourage representatives from our private sector to attend this course to learn more about both individual roles during a disaster as well as what we as a community can do to increase our emergency preparedness.
