KUCB One-Day Fundraiser
Friday, October 29 2021

Once a year, we ask our community to make a contribution to public radio in Unalaska. Funds help us keep KUCB 89.7, local repeater service of KSKA, and our website, up and running. Our fundraiser will take place from 12 AM – 11:59 PM. A donation of any amount makes you a member of KUCB and we are happy to work with you on a payment plan that spreads your contribution out to monthly or quarterly payments.

You turn to KUCB for information, context, and facts. We do our best to keep you informed on important topics including municipal meetings and elections, health, industry, travel and energy development. The challenges of the past few years have brought KUCB’s mission more clearly into focus: our non-profit exists in order to keep you connected to what’s going on in Unalaska.

Fundraising is more critical than ever. In the past two years, KUCB has had to cancel and change long-standing station events, and apply for government relief funds. These funds will go a long way in helping offset our losses, but local fundraising is more important than ever. We need to ensure that our staff has the tools they need to do their jobs. Individual donors like you provide the single most important source of income for KUCB. Throughout your day, you turn to KUCB: online, over the air and on social media. During our annual fundraiser, KUCB turns to you.

We appreciate your steadfast support. We have fantastic thank you gifts this year! Unangax̂ artist Lydia Dirks designed our sweatshirts and stickers, and we also have wifi cards from OptimERA, Inc. But most of all, your contribution will come back to you in the form of quality news, information and entertainment.
