Museum of the Aleutians: Every Fifth Breath
Saturday, July 31 2021, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Location: Museum of the Aleutians

Did you know that one-fifth of all the air we breathe is produced by phytoplankton? These tiny organisms are invisible to the naked eye and yet they also provide food for the world's largest creatures!

Join the Museum of the Aleutians and researcher Karie Holtermann to learn all about these tiny creatures. Foldscopes (paper microscopes) will be provided to guests so that everyone can examine their very own samples of plankton!

The program will run from 1-3PM on July 31st & August 21st
