Upcoming Oil Spill Informational Session in Unalaska!

There will be an informational and input meeting in Unalaska on Thursday, December 8 at City Council Chambers from 1:30- 4:30 PM. A multi-agency effort is seeking input into the development of areas that oil spill dispersant use should be avoided in the Preauthorized Dispersant Use Area. Information will be included in the newly updated Dispersant Plan. In the event of an off-shore release of crude oil, this information will guide the Federal On Scene Coordinator in making decisions regarding the use of dispersants. The meeting will feature presentations on the policy and science of dispersants.
