"Outbreak: How Past Infections Impacted the Aleutians, Past and Present," opened to the public on December 3rd.

Outbreak features a selection of infectious diseases that have had significant impacts on the people living in the Aleutians. This exhibit features "Sophia's Return" by Lauren Peters and Ms. Peters' rematriation of her relative back to St Paul Island from the Carlisle Indian School cemetery where she was buried following her death from the 1918 Influenza pandemic. Exhibit also features art by Roger Blakeley, Shelly Blakeley, Jen Heller, and Suzi Golodoff's haikus.
