Unalaska Community Broadcasting (UCB) is raising funds to save the video history of our community. There are about 1900 tapes in our attic that are rapidly degrading. Tapes need to be digitized for our permanent archive, and for local viewing and use. This project will professionally digitize 10% of our remaining tapes - a small but substantial step towards our eventual goal of digitizing the entire collection.

We are looking for a broad support base from people who have been involved in Channel 8 over the years, including folks who have moved away from our community. We couldn't possibly track down contact information for all of the friends of Channel 8, so we hope that YOU will share the link with your friends near and far in an effort to reach as many potential supporters as we possibly can.
