The City of Unalaska allows natural persons who are at least 65-years-old on or before March 31 of each year to be entitled to receive a yearly sales tax refund in the amount of $200.

To be eligible for the refund, the consumer must be at least 65-years-old on or before March 31st, must be a resident of the city for at least 30 days prior to application, and must file a timely application with the city.

An application for a senior citizen refund must be filed with the City between January 1st and March 31st of each year. Claims for refund filed after March 31st shall be denied.
