Unalaska Airport Master Plan Public Meeting
Thursday, January 21 2021, 5:30 p.m.

Location: Channel 8 TV

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is updating the 2008 Master Plan for Tom Madsen Airport (Unalaska Airport) to explore and document a plan for future air service capabilities essential to the community of Unalaska.
Master Plan work over recent months has determined that the airport should be upgraded to serve aircraft likely to use the airport in the next 20 years. This upgrade will require changes to airport layout, runway length, and safety areas.
DOT&PF is seeking public feedback on the alternatives developed to support future airport improvement projects.
There are a number of ways to participate in the Unalaska Airport Master Plan. The public comment period is open January 21 – February 22, 2021.
